chYps started life in 1994 as the Children & Young Peoples' Service of EllenorLions Hospices in North West Kent (Dartford, Gravesend, Swanley). It then grew to include the London Borough of Bexley. This charitable organisation enables children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions to receive full hospice care in their and their families' place of choice, which is overwhelmingly their own home. www.chyps.org

Established by an ex-homeless man, Tom Gifford in the 70s, Kent-based charity Porchlight works with the most vulnerable and isolated people in our communities to help them to access housing and related support services. www.porchlight.org.uk

Rhythmix music charity delivers a large range of music making opportunities for young people across the South East. Since 1999, Rhythmix has worked with more than 45,000 young people, enabling their creative activity through music and developing their personal and social skills. Rhythmix works with its partners in Youth Support Services, such as Youth Workers, Arts Officers, Crime Reduction and Youth Offending Teams, to identify young people in challenging circumstances, and enables those young people to shape and develop projects that respond to their needs. www.rhythmixmusic.org.uk
