- Line a baking tin with baking parchment and pre-heat the oven to gas 4/180°C.
- Melt the butter and sugar together in a saucepan, then combine with the oats and golden syrup.
- Mix well and tip into the baking tin.
- Bake in the centre of the oven for around 15mins, until golden.
- Score with a knife into squares while the mixture is still hot; this will make it easier to cut once the flapjacks have cooled.
